Have you ever wondered what it would taste like if a brownie and a cookie became one delicious dessert? Well, today I am going to share with you how to make these sweet cookies that will blow you away with their amazing taste and did I mention looks? They are bakery style big and are great to bring to all of your friends as a sweet little surprise! Enjoy!DSC00536

Ingredients:

Brownie Dough Ingredients:

– 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter (room temperature)

– 2/3 cup sugar

– 2/3 cup brown sugar

– 1 egg and 1 egg yolk

– 1 teaspoon of vanilla

– 1 1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons of flour

– 1/2 cup of cocoa powder

– 1 teaspoon of baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Cookie Dough Ingredients:

– 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter (room temperature)

-2/3 cup of sugar

-2/3 cup of brown sugar

-1 egg and 1 egg yolk

-1 teaspoon of vanilla

-2 cups plus 2 tablespoons of flour

-1 teaspoon of baking soda

-1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

-1/2 teaspoon of salt

-1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips (I prefer to use the Nestle Toll House Brand)

Directions:

In order to make the brownie dough:

  1. Cream together the butter and sugars for one minute.
  2. Add the egg and egg yolk, along with the vanilla, and mix until combined thoroughly.
  3. Add in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix just until a dough forms.
  4. Cover the brownie dough with plastic wrap and then pop it into the fridge while we make the cookie dough.

In order to make the cookie dough:

  1. Cream together the butter and sugars for one minute.
  2. Add in the egg and the egg yolk, as well as the vanilla, and mix until well combined.
  3. Mix in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, just until a dough forms.
  4. Lastly, fold in the chocolate chips.

In order to bake the cookies:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  2. Using a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop or a regular spoon, scoop a tablespoon of each dough, and then simply roll the balls together to form one ball.
  3. Then, place each ball onto cookie sheets, lined with parchment paper and flatten each ball slightly.
  4. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cookies are firm around the edges.
  5. Let cool, and serve immediately or store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
